Harness racing hits Rangiora again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:15pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Best Bet:  R3  Vatican Green

Best Value:  R9   Tres Magnifique

Race 1

Te Rapa (9) Ok for third last start. Has to rate highly with a similar effort
Celtic Arden (10) Good run last start and only needs manners to feature here.
Portelli (2) Looked a run short last start. Chance with natural improvement

Race 2

Howling Wolf (4) Big upgrade in draws and solid form. Hard to beat again
Done Rockn (11) Should get a cosy run on the fence. Can run top three with gaps
Big Boyz Toy (8) Drawn wide but his debut was ok and top driver booked. Needed

Race 3

Vatican Green (4) Has been racing better fields without luck. Well placed here
Medina Magic (8) Building up some good form and winning claims in an even field
Delilah’s Girl (2) Better last start and should improve further. Top three chance

Race 4

Tedesco (8) Freshened for this and smaller field will help. One of the better chances
Speeding Spirit (2) Quick beginner who might try to lead in this. Could surprise
Hanover Da Moon (5) Racing well and conditions suit. Can run top three with luck

Race 5

Bri Express (7) Gate speed and should be a realistic top three chance. Needed
Stunin Star (1) Nice finish last start to win and gets the ace draw. Include here
Superstar Legend (10) Better than the form reads and a place hope if the gaps come

Race 6

Triple G (6) Racing well but up in class. Should be thereabouts in this field
OK Boomer (4) Better run last start and can go on with it in this race. Include
With Style (5) Ok last start and has gate speed. One of the major players in this

Race 7

Heza Sport (12) Tricky handicap but has a big motor. Has winning claims here
Cya Art (5) Coming in off the back of a good second last start. Can run top three
Here’s Herbie (1) Drawn well and good from a stand. Could surprise at longer odds

Race 8

Woodlea Jewel (2) Good gate speed and might push forward. Good winning chance
Betterthandiva (3) Tidy draw and building up some form. Winning claims in this field
Franco Cornel (9) Tricky draw hurts but good enough to overcome it. Top three chance

Race 9

Tres Magnifique (4) Drawn well and and might race close to the speed here. Include
Ginas Majesty (5) Out of form but better than that. One for longer odds here
Rachmaninov (1) Has raced well on course in the past. Could surprise with the right trip

Race 10

Special Dream (1) Drawn to be a major player in this field. Good winning chance
Press Play (3) Manners can be a bit iffy but has ability. Win chance if he paces away
Bobby Waterhouse (13) Didn’t handle the track last start. Should compete with these
