Harness racing hits Rangiora again today with twelve races on the card. The racing starts at 11:35am and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Judgement Bay (5) At her best would be hard to beat and better last start. Good chance
Stunin Star  (6) Driver has a great strike rate and ok last start for fifth. Needed here
Robyns Shadow (7) Might push forward early. Can go close with a soft run in front

Race 2

Celtic Arden (7) Good run last start and well placed in this field. Hard to beat here
Ellamon (9) Will be improved and seems reliable enough. Can run top three
King Of Diamonds (12) Manners the key with him. Could surprise if he trots all the way

Race 3

Vatican Green (5) Racing well and in a winnable race. Can go on with it here. Needed
The Wulver (6) Trials suggest a big motor. Winning claims on debut with luck
Lewey Maguire (1) Has a nice draw and should be an inmprover. Can run top three

Race 4

Lovey Dovey Nova (1) Good at recent trials and has the speed to win with no mistakes
Tilthesunsets (6) Quick beginner who might try to lead in this. Gets his chance here
Kawhi (9) Better when third last start and should improve further. Can fill a placing

Race 5

Carmelite (10) Tricky draw but a great chance with any gaps in the straight. Include
Amazing Me (4) Big draw upgrade this week. Likely to race handy and can go close
Terror Ma Sue (8) Running on late last start. Wide draw but could sneak a place

Race 6

Raklou (4) Big effort in a stronger field on debut. Looks a good winning chance in this
Aardie B Miki (6) Looks a solid chance based on recent trial efforts. Include here
Melody Banner (2) Ok at recent trials but meets a stronger field. Not the worst

Race 7

Ginas Majesty (4) Has been running on in his races and smaller field will help. Can win
Tres Magnifique (3) Big run for second after working hard last start. Good chance here
Rachmaninov (7) Has raced well on course in the past. Always a place hope in similar fields

Race 8

Betterthandiva (4) Looks a great chance of racing close to the speed in this. Top selection
Millwood Melody (10) Fence draw but will need luck. Top three chance with any gaps
Prides Bellissima (11) Had excuses last start and field is not strong. Can lob a placing

Race 9

Precious Belle (3) Good win last start but his is harder. Winning claims from a better draw
Woodlea Jewel (5) Tidy draw and likely to go forward. Can go close in this with a soft lead
Sophia Bromac (7) Wide draw but will not be disgraced in this field. Top three player

Race 10

Ron McKinley (19) Tricky handicap but will be finishing strongly. Chance with a cart into it
Manjimup (16) Good beginner who has raced well in stronger fields. One for longer odds
Champagneandwine (17) Has been freshened and conditions suit here. Top three chance

Race 11

Wynberg Watch (10) Big finisher with one run at them. Should be a major player in this.
Kowhai Sundown (11) Should get a run through early from the draw. Include in this field
Mighty Logan (6) Big win last start and freshened. Looks a solid improver and can win

Race 12

Ajira (2) Drawn to go forward early here. Opened at good odds and has winning claims
Franco Cornel (1) Should get a good run in transit from the ace draw. Has to be respected
Bri Express (3) Races better on speed. Could surprise if she find the front early. Include
