Harness racing hits Reefton again today with 10 races on the card. The racing starts at 12:18pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Evidently (2) Tight track should suit and drawn well. Should run top three with any luck here
Always Bee Gee (3) Small field will help and should begin quickly. Winning claims if he can lead
Carrera Kahu (1) Getting better with racing and draws ideally in this field. Will be running on

Race 2

Luca (3) On debut but has a decent motor. Has to be included but will need to bring his manners
Rondo Trouble (1) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and will be fitter. One for longer odds
Rependant (5) Improver from her last start and similar field. Top three chance again in this field

Race 3

Rakero John (3) Big drop in class and driver change for this. Can win if he handles the track
Liberty Girl (2) Ok at trials and a threat to the favourites with a good run in transit. Include
Mike’s Eyre (11) Bred to be good on grass and trialing ok. Can sneak into the top three with luck

Race 4

Captain Publisher (2) Solid second last start and a winning chance from the draw. Top selection
Bella Ciao (7) Has early speed and conditions suit here. Should give a good account again here
Hez A Loch (5) Big improver with a place chance if he can get handy to the speed. In the mix

Race 5

Transtasman Bubble (5) Ran home best last start in a similar field. Can go back to back
Prince Teka (6) Likely leader and well placed here. Might stick on for a top three finish
Cappaha (4) Will be fitter after last start. Trailing draw and should get a soft trip. Include

Race 6

Santanna Mach (2) Fought on last start in a similar field. Can go close if he can lead up here
Goodoldayz (6) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Needs manners but hard to beat
Rapid Response (4) Will be fitter after last start. Will get a soft trip from the draw. Include

Race 7

Stanley’s Rule (5) Good against a similar field last start. Will be running on well again in this
Matai Harry (9) Easy win last start and in peak form. Needs luck from the draw. Top three
Hi Hopes (7) Due to show form and dangerous with one run at them late. Upset claims here

Race 8

Teds Legacy (4) Will try for the front and hard to run down with a soft lead. Top selection
Hacksaw Ridge (6) Big motor on grass and should give a good account again here. Needed
Smoke On The Water (7) Won easily last start and small field will aid his chances. Go again

Race 9

Mavis Jones (5) New to the circuit and looks well up to beating these. Needs luck but can win
Rachmaninov (6) One paced but dangerous in front and good beginner. One of the better chances
Premium Player (10) Too fast last start. Will continue to improve and will flash late. Needed

Race 10

Flyaway (1) Ideal draw and dangerous with a trail. Looks the one to beat from the ace. Top selection
Logan Rock (4) Flew late last start and better than most in this field. Has to be respected again here
Troubleshooter (2) Galloped last start and manners the key to her chances. Win hope with no errors
