Harness racing hits Riverton again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:19pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Rotten Rodden (4) Not a bad third last start. Field not strong and can go close here
Mechanical Bull (1) Fourth two starts ago was ok. Top three chance from inside draw
California Dreaming (2) Manners needed but a good chance from a draw that suits

Race 2

Styrax (9) Good finish last start. Needs to bring her manners but the ability is there
Wattle Hill (4) Good third on debut. Freshened and chance with natural improvement
Hail Stone (3) Normally a good beginner. Good draw and a good place chance

Race 3

Pounamu (3) Has been running on in better fields. Draw suits and has to be respected
Peace Of Heaven (9) Racing well at trials. Can run top three with a good run in transit
Montage (5) Tricky draw but going well in good fields. Can sneak some money with luck

Race 4

Hot Saucy Betty (8) Manners not great but good once under way. Top selection here
Speeding Spirit (1) Has been a bit disappointing in his races. Ace draw brings him into it
Night Watch  (7) Fair last start but short distance will help. One of the better chances

Race 5

Falcons Watch (6) Drawn well and top driver booked. Might try for an all the way win
Nyla (5) Goes well on grass and racing consistently. Place chance again in this
I’m Watching You (1) Running on last start. Good chance if he lands the trail here

Race 6

Hacksaw Ridge (6) Going for four in a row. Up in grade but loves the grass. Include
Got You Covered (8) Better run last start and conditions suit. Will need luck but can win
Hazer (1) Normally good from a stand and conditions suit here. Drawn to be a chance

Race 7

Sidorova (12) Tricky draw but getting better with racing. Winning claims with luck here
Bridget Louise (1) Better draw for this and hard to beat if she works to the front early
Sunshine Moment (8) Normally a fast beginner who should get handy. Could surprise

Race 8

Jimmy Carter (8) Tricky handicap for this but has winning form. One of the better chances
Domination’s Call (7) Much better last start and can go on with it. Good chance in this
Willangus Lad (2) With his best manners would go close to winning this. Needed here

Race 9

Amass (9) Inside draw might suit and good run on grass last start. Hard to beat here
Magnetic Beckers (2) Much better last start and better draw. Can place again
Still Rockin (13) Draw hurts but races well on grass. Top three chance with a cart into it

Race 10

Flying Bird (1) Conditions suit and should give a good account here. Draw suits
Tuneinsportsfans (2) Might be the early leader from the draw. Winning claims
Mamma Mia (14) Getting better with racing and if the pace is on can fly home late
