Harness racing hits Roxburgh again today with 11 races on the card . The racing starts at 12:15pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Best Value:  R5 Almighty Clever

Race 1

Nyla (4) Beat the same field at Omakau and never out of the money here. Should run top three
Foveaux Gambler (5) Small field will help and can go an improved race in this. Needed here
Jazzy Styx (3) Getting better with racing and running on well at Omakau. Winning claims

Race 2

Didn’t Di (7) Stable respect and has trialed well. Winning claims on debut and hard to beat
Spiritinthesky (5) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and freshened. Should give a sight
Madison’s Moon (11) Plenty of ability and only needs manners. Could surprise at longer odds

Race 3

Brianna (5) Big run last start after being attacked in the lead. Good run expected in this
Shandon Bells (8) Ok last start and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit
MC Squared (6) Placed here last year. Top three change at big money with luck in running

Race 4

Burnham Girl (1) Galloped last start and previous form good. Good chance from the draw.
Loveyourmother (4) Has gate speed and tidy finish at Omakau. Should give a good account
Gati (8) Out of form but improver with a place chance at longer odds. Follows the favourite

Race 5

Almighty Clever (3) Fought on last start in an amateur drivers race. Expect a nice run here
Sidorova (11) Had excuses last start and should suit the tight track. Good each way chance
Sagwitch (7) Will be fitter after last start. Gate speed and could take some catching. Include

Race 6

One For Jay (1) Good against a way tougher field last start. Hard to beat against this lot
Oakley Shard (8) Should get a soft run on the pegs. Place claims at longer odds. Include
Havarti Arden (5) Due to show form and drawn well here. Driver sticks with. Could surprise

Race 7

Aspirational Dream (7) Draw hurts but has raced better fields. Might suit the tight track
Buffy Northstains (6) Going for four in a row. Can not ignore the form and needed here
Jordan Anne (5) Racing well and should suit the conditions. One of the better chances

Race 8

Ebury Street (9) Tricky draw but tight track will suit and on a winning streak. Top selection
Jenny Gump (1) Has gate speed and should go close to placing in this from the draw. Include
Ward Lamon (10) Tricky draw but top three chance if he can get a cart into the race. 

Race 9

Rush (4) Going great races and hard to catch if she can find the front. Driver in form as well
Maui (8) Decent motor and good run in a harder field last start. Good course stats. Needed
Vertigo (2) Ran on after breaking last start. Will continue to improve and place hope here

Race 10

Deceptive Lee (1) Has raced better fields. Drawn the ace here and looks a good place chance.
Amaretto Franco (8) Wide draw but better than most in this field. Has to be respected in this
Miraculous (9) Good run last start and can do some work mid race. Class horse of the field

Race 11

Song Sung Blue (8) Not far away in a much stronger field last start. Hard to beat with his speed
Sinai Sermon (9) Stablemate of the favourite and running on last start. Can go close with luck
Flying Bird (5) Likely to race close to the speed here. One of the better chances if she can lead
