Harness Analyst – Roxburgh 4th January free tips

Harness racing hits Roxburgh again today with 12 races on the card. The racing starts at 11:55am and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Best Bet:  R3   Wattlebank Will

Best Value:  R12 Heaven’s Mark

Race 1

Nyla (1) Not far away from winning at Omakau. Should run top three with a similar effort
Foveaux Gambler (4) Small field will help and should begin quickly. Can keep improving
Warloch (6) Getting better with racing and drop back in grade. Winning claims in this field

Race 2

La Dama (5) Could be the likely leader in the race and small track will suit. Has to be included
Majesdix (7) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and will be fitter. In the mix with luck
Mode (3) Improver from her last start and tight track looks ideal. Top three chance here

Race 3

Wattlebank Will (3) Looked a run short last start and driver change for this. Better run expected
Shergar (6) Ok last start and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit. Include
Bonny Miki (4) Not much went her way last start and better draw. Can sneak into the top three

Race 4

Kawhi (3) Solid win last start and a winning chance again with a safe beginning. Include
Nubliah Chamay (1) Has early speed and this track will suit. Should give a good account
Pyramid Rose (2) Back in form and in with another good chance with a quick start.

Race 5

Van Liberty (5) Got too far back last start. Top selection in this and might push forward here
Jenny Gump (3) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Gate speed and top three chance
Robyns Hustler (8) Will be fitter after last start. Trailing draw and should get a soft trip.

Race 6

Eragon (9) Better than the form suggests. Needs to step cleanly but has upset claims in this field
Phishing (2) Had excuses last start and well placed here. Good each way chance from the draw
Carmen Lucia (8) Will be improved after last start. Needs manners but can run a bold race here

Race 7

B B Crunch (5) Good against a way tougher field last start. Hard to beat against this lot. Needed
Byllee J (9) Running on well late last start. Winning claims if she gets handy on the pegs. Include
Liberty Girl (1) Due to show form and drawn well here. Should give a good sight from the ace

Race 8

Havtimewillfly (7) Good win last start against stronger opposition and will be running on. Yes
Ideal Crown (6) Decent motor and a threat to the favourite here. One of the better chances
Close (3) Disappointing last start. Will continue to improve and place hope at longer odds

Race 9

Crackle N Crunch (2) Fast finish to upset last start. Better draw and can go close to winning again
Clonakilty (9) Decent motor and should get a run through at the start. One of the better chances
Transonic (8) Tricky draw but has the speed to be a major player in this. Hard to beat with the right run

Race 10

Always Dreaming (8) Impressive winning last start. Will take all sorts of catching if he finds the front
Tabasco (3) Ok draw and better than most in this field. Should get a soft trip on the fence. Can place
Amaretto Franco (7) Good finish last start and track will suit her sit and sprint. Could surprise

Race 11

Wanna Play A Game (3) Much better winning last start. Top selection in this and can go close
Torquay Street (5) Better than the form suggests. Ok draw here and is one for longer odds in this
Brianna (1) Will get a soft trip on the fence here and not the worst at longer odds. Worth including

Race 12

Heaven’s Mark (7) Tricky draw but does have a big motor. Will be put in the race at some stage
Leithen Louie (5) Good form and top driver booked for this. Tough and holds speed for a long way
Sweet Willow (4) Nice win at big odds last start but this is harder. Could be the bolter in the race
