Harness racing hits Timaru again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 12:20pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good night of racing.

Race 1

South Seas Rock (9) Has raced well in stronger fields and looks well placed here. Needed
Rockin Va Va (8) Struggled last start but previously good. Could surprise at longer odds
Off The Edge (7) This field looks weaker than his last few runs. Winning claims with luck

Race 2

Luvavici (15) Conditions suit and good third last start. Looks one of the better chances
Transtasman Bubble (7) Wide draw but lots of ability. Chance with natural improvement
Portelli (12) Better than the form suggests. One for longer odds in this field. Include

Race 3

Defy Me (2) Has a bit of a reputation and well drawn. Looks one of the better chances
Sweet Tizzy Lou (11) Should get a run through early and improving all the time. Include
Gatecrasher (5) Draw will suit and might lead early. Should be thereabouts in this

Race 4

Whosdreamingnow (6) Has a decent motor and manners the only concern. Winning chance
Americano (5) Freshened but looks stronger this time in. Chance here at longer odds
Dulcinea (4) No doubting ability and trainer change for this. Top three chance here

Race 5

Touch N Go (4) Drawn to be near the lead early. Can go close here if handy on the turn
Carmelite (11) Racing well in stronger fields. Will be improved and look for better here
Mach Major (5) Draw suits and due to strike some form. Could surprise at longer odds

Race 6

Moses (7) Big win last start looks hard to beat again here. Rise in grade no issues
Sue’s Dash (2) Race form ok and drawn to be competitive. Top three chance in this field
Monarch Prince (5) Disappointing last start but better than that. Could regain form here

Race 7

Black Pearl (9) Wide draw but very speedy. Top three player if she gets handy early
Superstar Legend (4) Better than the form suggests. Needs the right trip but has claims
Fergalicious (2) Ok last start and could sneak a placing again with a quick beginning

Race 8

Foveaux Gambler (9) Has been unlucky in his last couple of races. Major player in this field
Apatchofgold (6) Always a chance in these types of races. Should play a part with manners
Megarock (1) Tough field but great off the standing start. Will race handy on the pegs

Race 9

Ifyousayso (12) Driver change for this gives him a chance. Winning claims at longer odds
Edge Of Reason (6) Improver after last start win and conditions suit. Top three chance
Tremendous Lover (3) Will get a good run from the draw and strong finisher. Needed

Race 10

Buffy Northstains (15) Building form and stand suits. Will need luck but not the worst
Ngauruhoe (7) Disappointing last start but can turn around the form. Top three player
Quik Barbie (6) Manners the main concern but good enough on her day. Include

Race 11

Hes Santas Excuse (3) Better draw for this and usually thereabouts. Hard to beat here
Ned Kelly (12) Better than the form suggests. Needs the right trip but has winning claims
Buddy Reign (4) Nice second last start. Fast beginner who could lob another place here
