Harness racing hits Timaru again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:35pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Bolzano (3) Battled last start but better than that. Strike rate driver booked so needed here
Four Starzzz Shiraz (5) Has been disappointing but due to show some form. Could surprise
Fourth Amendment (9) This looks easier than his last few races. Tricky draw but should run well

Race 2

Downtown Orlando (10) Drawn wide but big finishes his last couple. Hard to beat in this
One El (8) Has ability and had excuses last start. Can run top three with luck in running
Penelope Hall (4) Will be improved from last start and can go on with it from the draw. Include 

Race 3

Chase The Stars (6) Didn’t get a lot of luck on debut. Needs to step but hard to beat in this
Americano (1) Normally steps ok and good at trials a few weeks ago. One for longer odds
Rockenroll Graduate (13) No go in a stronger field last start. Tricky draw but has claims

Race 4

Kink (6) Racing well and capable of beating this field. Big chance with the right trip
Starlight Gazer (7) Big run for second last start in a similar field. Should be hard to beat 
Tom Brady (8) Change of stable might work wonders. Trialed ok and has claims if he steps away

Race 5

Killinchy Kid (1) Coming in fresh and finally gets a good draw. Top selection in this field
Pacific Clipper (2) Conditions suit and not a bad effort last start. One for longer odds in this
Loch Lomond (12) Caught the eye running on late last start. Top three chance with luck

Race 6

Tres Magnifique (3) Good win last start and this field not much stronger. Can go back to back
MM Sunshine (4) Should go forward early. Good trotter when right and has winning claims
Boyz Invasion (5) Has been racing ok in similar fields. Needs luck in running but can win

Race 7

Apatchofgold (4) Got caught parked out last start but change of driver here. Chance at odds
Mighty Reactor (5) Good beginner and likely to go forward early. Top three player here
Ideal Double (9) Wide draw but good at trials. Has the speed to figure strongly in this 

Race 8

Champagneandwine (8) In good form and can go on with it in this field. Good winning chance
Doctor Tim (2) Stand will suit and he draws the front row. Top three chance with luck
Jimmyray (9) Plenty of ability and in good form. Needs the right trip but has to rate highly

Race 9

The Conqueror (10) Good beginner and likely to go forward early. Good winning chance
Megarock (2) Normally steps well and slightly unlucky last start. Win chance if the pace is on
Gliding High (5) Drawn the front and trained on the track. Can surprise fresh but will improve

Race 10

Phone Tap (4) Good gate speed and could be the early leader. Can run top three from the front
Flo Motion (11) Ok last start but will need luck from the draw. Chance with the right trip
Not Over (3) Due to find some form and change of driver here. Would compete well if fully fit
