Harness racing hits Timaru again today with ten races on the card. The racing starts at 12:57pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good day of racing.

Race 1

Changearound (13) In good form and strike rate driver booked. Can get some money in this
Shards Fury (8) Has been disappointing but racing better fields. One for longer odds
Maximilian  (9) Tricky draw but has gate speed. Might go forward and is a good chance

Race 2

Tact Teel (1) Unlucky last start and well placed here. Hard to beat with manners
Brickie’s Dream (93) Likely to receive a good run from the draw. Can run top three
Rocketman (1111) Good beginner who should put himself in a good position. Place chance

Race 3

Watch Me (6) Good beginner who will head forward. Hard to beat with mobile manners
Fourth Amendment (7) Running on late the last couple of starts. Winning claims
Killarney Dance (10) Tricky draw but he could be over the odds. Can surprise with luck

Race 4

High Energy (8) Coming in fresh but big motor. Well capable of beating this field
One Over Da Line (7) Beat a similar field last start. One of the major chances
The Ivy League (5) Nice draw and racing well. One paced but not the worst in this

Race 5

Clyde (7) Big drop in grade here and he will be hard to beat with manners.
Ginas Majesty (3) Consistent trotter who is improving all the time. Can go close to placing.
Instant Delight (6) Has been disappointing, but driver change and one for longer odds

Race 6

He’s Tough (7) Tidy win on grass and up to beating this field. Winning claims again
Real Men Wear Pink (9) Nice trial form and could be over the odds. Place chance
The Conqueror (11) Good beginner. Track suits and he can go close to the money here

Race 7

Hes Santas Excuse (1) Decent draw and he should get a good run. One of the major players.
Trouble Supreme (8) Disappointing last start and tricky draw. Look for improvement here.
Sneak A Peek (13) Great form but draw hurts. Can go close with luck in the running.

Race 8

Resolve (4) Big effort in a strong field last start. Looks hard to beat in this field
King Of Love (6) Has been racing well and steps ok. Could surprise with the right run
Majestic Rollon (8) Manners not great but has speed. Can run a cheeky race with no errors

Race 9

Tiger Taylor (7) Good gate speed to negate the wide draw. Strong field but can surprise
Artatac (3) Gets a better draw to work with and mobile suits. Chance at longer odds
Katherine (5) Racing well and draw suits. Needs a good run in transit but has claims

Race 10

Tasman Tempest (2) Plenty of ability and drawn much better. Can go close here
Franco Stefan (3) Looks like the early leader.  Top driver on board. Major player here
Olive Cook (14) Broke last start but better placed here. Will be charging home late
