Harness racing hits Timaru again today with 10 races on the card . The racing starts at 3:29pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Silvester (3) Good late finish last start and trained locally. Top three hope with manners
Tessamae (4) Small field will help and should begin quickly. One of the better chances
Brightman (7) Getting better with racing and ok on the Coast circuit. One for odds

Race 2

Newbiemains Arden (6) Good second last start and suited here. Has to be included
Nila Maree (3) Has early speed to be one of the leaders and top driver booked. Needed
Ultimate Rush (1) Improver from her last start and good on debut. Winning claims

Race 3

Kasarani (10) Looked in need of a run fresh and driver change for this. Better run expected
Troubleshooter (12) Ok last start and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit
Sans Repos (8) Good effort last start and front row draw. Can sneak into the top three

Race 4

Kairaki Delight (6) Solid second last start and a winning chance from the draw. Include
Taumutu Lad (9) Goes well the track. Should give a good account again at longer odds
Flying For Me (11) Back in form with top driver and has winning claims with a good trip

Race 5

Kawhi (10) Broke last start on the grass. Back on grit and top driver booked. Include
Speeding Spirit (6) Good beginner and well placed here over the sprint. In the mix
Barrytown (11) Should be fitter after last start. Will be running on late in this. Include

Race 6

Katherine (9) Good against a way tougher field two starts ago. Hard to beat against these
Gatecrasher (5) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims from the draw. Include
Tokyo Rose (8) Tricky draw but does have gate speed and leaders track. Driver change here

Race 7

Topaz (9) Draw hurts but has raced better fields. Can run a tidy race with a cart into it
Jose Quivera (10) Better than the form suggests. Might need luck but one for longer odds
Franco Motu (6) Wide draw but good win on debut. This is harder but can go close

Race 8

Emma Swan (8) Tricky draw but will be much fitter. Has speed and good winning chance
Anytime At All (1) Best draw and should go close to placing in this. Each way claims
Didjaseemiki (10) Should get a good soft run on the pegs. Top three chance with gaps

Race 9

Clyde (5) Conditions suit and he races best in front. Good place chance if he finds the lead
The Bloss (1) Decent motor and will race handy. One of the better chances from the draw
Bonnie Bagrie (6) Good run last start. Could surprise at longer odds with early manners

Race 10

Keltic Tiger (12) Has raced better fields. Drawn wide but still looks a good bet. Needed
Big Mama Morris (5) Wider draw but better run last start. Has to be respected in this
Fernz Goldy (6) Good finish last start and can do some work mid race. Could surprise
