Harness racing hits Westport again today with eleven races on the card. The racing starts at 2:28pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Best Bet:  R8  Sailor Boy

Best Value:  R5  Jaccka Opa

Race 1

Monaro Meg (6) Freshened for this but has come back stronger. Hard to beat here
Signal Hill (5) Best draw for some time and getting fitter. Can run top three with manners
Bevron (2) Will be fitter for last start third. Reliable and top three claims again here

Race 2

Mikra Wave (5) Well bred and has looked ok at trials Drawn to be a chance here.
Give Me Peace (8) Good efforts at trials. Top driver booked and can go close to placing
The Finisher (2) Manners not great but quick improver for this. One for longer odds

Race 3

Ginas Majesty (2) Goes well here and will go close to winning this. Top selection
Sods Law (5) Early break last start. Can run top three here with a good run in transit
Majestic Whisper (9) Stable change and has a bit of speed. Has to be included

Race 4

Itz All Fired Up (11) Getting fitter with racing and steadily improving. Needed here
My Sweet Bella Rose (10) Could get a soft run on the pegs here. Will be finishing on
Ha’penny (5) Not the worst last start running home late. Can go close to top three

Race 5

Jaccka Opa (9) Drawn wide but goes well on grass. Chance with a cart into the race
Divine Angel (8) No luck last start. Win chance even from the wider draw. Include
What A Minx (10) Good win last start and will go close with gaps in the straight.

Race 6

Apatchofgold (4) Out of form but freshened and could surprise with the right trip. Include
Executive Banner (6) Broke when running into it last start. Might go forward early
Judgement Bay (2) Goes ok on grass and will race handy to the speed. Top three claims

Race 7

Boyz Invasion (5) Freshened and good enough to win this with the right trip. Needed
Helloveamoment (3) Running on late last start. Speedy beginner who has winning claims
Zsa Zoe (2) Stable does well on the track. Great grass stats and has to be respected

Race 8

Sailor Boy (3) Speedy beginner who might be the race leader. Downgrade in class here
Ruby’s A Delight (1) Galloped early but ran home well last start. Needs to step and run
Motor Mouth (12) At his best would go close to placing. Tough stayer with top three claims

Race 9

Johnny Mac (11) Has raced well here in the past. Hard to hold out in this with luck
Jimmyray (2) Tough field last start. Prior runs were good and grass suits. Include
Dashing Major (13) Tricky handicap. Top three chance if he can get handy midrace

Race 10

Jasprit Trouble (2) Conditions suit and should give a good account from the good draw
Cruise Liner (5) Looked a run short last start but improving. Chance here with manners
MM Sunshine (7) Grass suits and a big chance if she can lead in the race. Needed

Race 11

Watch That Man (2) Track will suit and should go forward early. Can go close here
Ebury Street (1) Good recent form and conditions suit. Will stick on from the draw
Itz Magical Meg (3) Will get a soft run handy to the pace. Can run top three with luck
