Harness racing hits Oamaru again today with 11 races on the card . The racing starts at 12:08pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Lottie’s Moment (8) Coming in fresh but has won two trials. Should go close to top three in this
Aldebaran Redwood (4) In form and should begin quickly. On of the better chances in the field
B K Mumma Jamie (13) Getting better with racing and driver change for this. Include in combos

Race 2

She’s A Major Act (3) Quick beginner and likely leader early. Grass suits and can run top three again
Cruising Fontana (1) Should get a soft trip in the trail and will be fitter. Place claims from the draw
Rockoutray (6) Improver from his last start and will be running on here. Can boost up the exotics

Race 3

Bautista (2) Freshened and has a reputation. Good run expected after a good trial. Top selection in this
Sweet Betty (9) Galloped last start and a threat to the favourite with a safe getaway. One for longer odds
Lay On Macduff (3) Quick beginner who might get a soft fence run. Can sneak into the top four here

Race 4

Haley Robyn (3) Never far away and a winning chance again from the draw. Might go forward early here
Razors Edge (5) Goes well on grass and driver change for this. Should give a good account at longer odds
Ivona Dadic (12) Out of form but improver with a place chance at longer odds if she gets a cart into it

Race 5

Brianna (12) Fought on last start in a similar field. Good beginner who should give a sight again here
Musclynn (4) Well placed here and getting close to some form again. Good each way chance at longer odds
Aveross Majesty (8) Will be fitter after last start. Has won 66% of his starts on the track. Has to be included

Race 6

Classie Linc (10) Good against a similar field last start. Hard to beat with stand start manners in this.
Ultimate Counsel (2) Should get a soft run handy with his manners. Place claims looks best in this
Ocean Of Tears (5) Running on last start and good enough to run top three in this. In the mix here

Race 7

Bevron (4) Draw helps and good run at the Mot last start. Grass suits and is a top three hope in this
Granny Rose (2) Should get a run through early. Might need luck but good over a shorter distance
Paige (1) Best draw and conditions suit. An upset chance if she steps cleanly. One for longer odds

Race 8

Got You Covered (4) Gets a head start on the favourites. Will need to step and run but could surprise
Buckskin (2) No form but can go close to placing in this at longer odds with a soft run in transit.
Kourtney Kardash (11) In good form and hardly ever out of the money on grass. Top three chance

Race 9

Lord Fantasy (6) Even field he is racing well and will be running on. Locally trained and can go close
Sweet Glory (1) Decent motor and is drawn well here. Top three chance here from a trailing spot
Franco Humbie (2) Ok last start but is better than that. Will continue to improve and place hope again 

Race 10

Vertigo (3) Good beginner who has won on the track. Drawn well here and looks a good bet. Needed
Practical Magic (4) Looking at her form she is a good chance of running second. Has to be respected
Nubliah Chamay (2) Will race handy to the speed and could stick on for a top three here. Include

Race 11

Light Me Up (10) Grass surface suits and top driver booked for this. Can go close here with his speed
A Better Jackalack (6) Trialing well and might go forward early here. Should give a sight fresh up
Destiny’s Dream (4) Likely to race close to the speed here. One of the better place chances in this
