Harness racing hits Cromwell again today with twelve races on the card. The racing starts at 2:30pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Vertigo (12) Racing well and grass suits. Looks hard to beat in this field. Top selection
Line A Love (4) Grass her forte and had excuses last start. Winning claims at longer odds
Hot Saucy Betty (5) Got a good win last start Needs to step but no the worst in this field

Race 2

Mamma Mia (11) Certainty beaten last start on grass. Has to rate highly in this
Stella Patron (7) Will be much better for the last start effort. Can run top three here
Conquer Clare (4) Has placed on grass and ran a good second last start. Winning claims

Race 3

Wanna Play With Fire (3) Stable can get them running fresh. Hard to beat with manners
Contessa’s Pride (7) Manners not great her last couple. Winning claims with no mistakes
Brianna (6) Has been stepping cleanly and in form. Can surprise with the right trip

Race 4

Kiwi Record (7) Dropping back from a strong field on debut. Capable of beating these with luck
Wavewatcher (1) Good draw and better than the form suggests. Can sneak a top three finish
Franco Tim (15) Tricky draw and has had no luck. Give one more chance back on grass

Race 5

Paradise Valley (3) Looked a bit unlucky last start and goes well on grass. Might sneak under the radar
Magic Sign (9) Ok on grass and will get a soft fence run. Big chance if the gaps come in the run home
Gypsy (4) Has been disappointing but grass suits and she can run a race at nice odds in the right mood.

Race 6

Miki Knows (8) Underrated pacer who has a tricky draw. Good enough to overcome it
Ellz Angel (7) Good on grass and should be nearing full fitness. Can spice up the combos
The Orange Roughy (2) Likely to get a good run near the speed Grass suits and winning claims

Race 7

MM Sunshine (9) Racing well and unlucky last start. One of the major players in this field with manners
Dem Bones Dem Bones (1) Has run some good races on grass. Needs to step but not the worst
Dwindle Star (8) Normally steps ok and better last start. Can go close to top three again here

Race 8

Mighthavtime (7) Looks the likely leader in the race and could be hard to run down if wet. Needed
Kingsdown Atom (11) Racing well and has winning claims with a cart into the race at the right time
Four Starzzz Shiraz (1) Drawn well and grass suits. Can run a cheeky race against this field

Race 9

Step It Up A Notch (10) Ran a good second last start against a strong field. Include in this
Yorokobi (9) Gets a fence draw to work with and big win last start. Goes close if he handles the grass
Onedin Hurricane (8) Fast beginner off the gate if they want to use it. Could surprise in this field

Race 10

Franco Norton (8) Big win last start and should be hard to stop here. Top selection
Boudica (2) Steps well and has won on grass. One for longer odds in this field
Deceptive Lee (5) Racing much better fields and grass suits. Will be running on late here

Race 11

Cody Banner (3) Plenty of ability but making mistakes during the running. Chance here with manners
Majestic Rollon (1) Big late finish at Roxburgh and drawn to lead. Chance at longer odds in this
Willangus Lad (5) Making errors but better than the form suggests and top driver booked. Include

Race 12

Asian Elvis (2) Plenty of ability and grass stats good. Can go close here with luck in running
Champagneandwine (9) Grass specialist who will get a soft pegs run. Good chance at longer odds.
Sonny Maguire (3) Should be improved and ok last start in a stronger field. Can run top three
