Harness racing hits Cromwell again today with 11 races on the card . The racing starts at 12:15pm and we highlight some specials and value runners we think can give you a run for your money on a good afternoon of racing.

Race 1

Royal Rock (8) Trialing well and trainer has a good record with first starters. Top selection in this
Storm Cloud (2) In form and should begin quickly. Will be used to the track now and can win
The Merc (7) Start is crucial but the motor is there. Hard to beat if he steps cleanly. Needed

Race 2

Miki’s Beauty (10) Has been breaking but has run some nice races in better fields. One for odds
Janaka’s Delight (1) She has got early speed to be one of the leaders and will be fitter. Include
Sweet Sue (3) Improver from her last start and trainer respect. Top three chance here with luck

Race 3

Dallas Dale (6) Just run down last start and likely leader in this. Good run expected here. Each way
Rockoutray (4) Ok last start and a threat to the favourite with a good run in transit. Grass suits
Sky Patrol (12) Good effort last start but tricky draw. Can sneak into the top three with luck

Race 4

Brianna (1) Solid win last start and a winning chance again from the draw. Good beginner
Ah Dinnae Ken (6) Has grown a leg with new trainer and in form. Should give a good account
Superfast Gorsey (5) Out of form but improver with a place chance at longer odds back on grass

Race 5

Sargent Best (1) No form but good draw and has gone well on grass tracks. Top selection in this
Logan Rock (4) Ran on well last start and will be suited by the conditions. Good each way chance
Tuneinsportsfans (8) Will be fitter after last start. Wide draw but good grass stats. Needed

Race 6

Teddy The Terror (4) Has a decent reputation and drawn to go forward here. Hard to beat
Ask Me Lazarus (1) Should get a soft run handy. Winning claims from the draw. In the mix
Putere Boy (3) Freshened and drawn well here. Has trialed ok and could surprise in this

Race 7

Vertigo (6) Conditions suit for this and grass track is ideal. Can run a tidy race and nice chance
Switch On (11) Ok last start and looks well placed in this. Might need luck but driver in form
Petite Trixton (2) Nice draw and ran on ok fresh up. Upset claims with manners. Include

Race 8

Still Rockin (7) Small field will help and good in a strong race last start. Should go well here
Munroe’s Mate (3) Has gate speed and might be the early leader. Should go close to placing
Song Sung Blue (4) In good form and should get a good run near the speed. Big finisher

Race 9

Franco Tim (10) Tricky draw but goes well on grass and will be running on. Winning claims
Mr President (11) Decent motor and change of driver for this. One of the better chances
Havarti Arden (7) Disappointing last start. Will continue to improve and might go forward here

Race 10

Deny Everything (2) Has raced better fields. Drawn well looks a good place bet. One for odds
Fernleigh Blackbird (7) Wide draw but faster than most in this field. Has to be respected in this
Mighty Looee (13) Has won at Methven and can do some work mid race. Could surprise here

Race 11

Maui (15) Grass suits and has won twice on the track. Can go close here with his good manners
Andy Hall (11) Driver change and has won on the track in the past. Could be over the odds
Practical Magic (4) Likely to race close to the speed here. One of the better chances and in form 

Race 12

Ebury Street (4) Building a picket fence form line and won on the track last year. Top selection
Sinai Sermon (7) Better than the form suggests. Grass will suit and he will be finishing well here
Insarchatwist (12) Grass specialist who is out of form. Not the worst at longer odds in this field
