Top New South Wales harness racing driver Cameron Hart is ready to tackle another career highlight.
Fresh from driving a treble at Menangle on Tuesday as well as three winners at that venue last Saturday night, the 637-time winnerĀ is packing his bags to head over to New Zealand for the $900,000NZ The Race at Cambridge on April 14.
Following the news that talented mare Spellbound was withdrawn from the slot race, Hartās drive Majestic Cruiser was offered a spot in the inaugural feature.
After winning the Joe and Michael Ilsley FFA at Menangle last Saturday night and fourth in the Miracle Mile the start before that was enough for Majestic Cruiser to earn a spot in the field.
Majestic Cruiser will fly over to NZ this Sunday with the mare Stylish Memphis according to trainer Jason Grimson.
“I’ll fly over the day before and Jack Trainor will look after him before I get there,” said Grimson.
The Belinda McCarthy-trained Alta Orlando is the other pacer flying the Australian flag in The Race as well as Mach Dan.
