Hear about Greg and Nina’s nine for Methven

Woodend Beach trainers Greg and Nina Hope have nine runners for Methven the home of grass track harness racing on Sunday.

Ben Hope gave some preview comments on his parent runners.

In Race One Love Walked In (Love You) brings consistent form and has been placed twice in three starts on the grass.

Tedesco (Muscle Hill) in Race Five rates a chance. He begins well from the stand and has grass track form with three placing from seven starts. He won at Addington on Friday night.

Eddie Osei (Bettor’s Delight) and McCrikey (Rock N Roll Heaven)  are their starters in Race Six.

Eddie Osei had to endure a tough trip at his last start and gets a nice draw (3) to use on Sunday.

McCrikey draws the outside on the second row in a capacity field. He’s won on the grass before.

Aged gelding Jack Tar (Tintin In America) has a consistent form line and makes his debut on grass in Race Seven.

Tremendous Lover (Captaintreacherous) starts in Race Eight. He ran home nicely for second at his last start at Timaru and has won twice on the grass.

Saturday’s Alabar Methven Cup will be Homebush Lad’s (Mach Three) fourth start in the time honoured 3000 metre feature. Previously in the Grouo Three feature he’s recorded two sixth placings and a fifth. Of his thirteen career wins eleven have been in grass.

In Race 12 the Hopes have two runners Maria Allegonda (Sweet Lou) and Blue Rock Dancer (A Rocknroll Dance).

Maria Allegonda has excellent form, draws four and will be handled by Ben Hope.

Blue Rock Dancer has won three time on the grass and Ricky May takes the drive.
