Ryal Bush harness racing trainer Peter Hunter will be looking to add to his training record when he takes three good chances to Ascot Park for Wednesday’s (Dec. 14) meeting.

The ultra-consistent Need A Change (Changeover) kept coming at her last start at Winton, and finished sixth. She gets a nice draw in Race Two.

“She’s been catching on of late to what the racing game is all about. She drew the outside of the gate at her last start and came home really well. She’s drawn one this week so it might help her a bit,” Hunter said.

Henry Maguire (Rock N Roll Heaven) ran nicely at Winton last week, finishing third and he draws three in Race Five for Hunter.

“He’s had quite a good campaign. He’s been solid without being outstanding. He’s a big horse so time is going to be his friend. Last week he raced in the field which he hasn’t been very good at doing and I think he learned a lot from it. I expect him to he solid again. He’s my best bet.”

This looks like a winnable race for the three year old.

In Race Eight Hunter lines up last start winner Emerald Abby (Sir Lincoln). She impressed at Winton winning by six and a half lengths and she remains in the same grade.

“She loves Winton and (last week) all the dots joined. Ascot isn’t her favourite track but here’s hoping we can get some of it.”

Racing on Wednesday gets underway at 2.26pm with the last race down to run at 6.13pm.
