Hype grows around Rock N Roll Doo

Fresh from his emphatic harness racing win in the Victoria Cup, Australian visitor Rock N Roll Doo (Rock N Roll Heaven) has continued his move up the IRT New Zealand Cup rankings

Rock N Roll Doo

The Rock N Roll Heaven gelding is expected to be on a flight to New Zealand tomorrow (Thursday) along with defending champion Copy That, who finished fourth behind Rock N Roll Doo in Saturday’s Group 1 at Melton.

Mick Stanley’s star pacer has been in outstanding form of late, winning his last three starts and not finishing outside the top two in his last seven.

As a result he has climbed up two spots to seventh in this week’s rankings, one ahead of fellow Australian Majestic Cruiser. The top six remain the same as last week.

Fifteen horses will start in the Cup at Addington on Tuesday, November 8 with Smiffy’s Terror now making the cut at 14 – up five places – after his upset win in Sunday’s Methven Cup.

Northern star Old Town Road (Bettor’s Delight) is also inching closer. He has improved five places to now be ranked 20th following his impressive win in the Holmes D G Handicap Pace at Alexandra Park last Friday.

The latest rankings for the Renwick Farms Dominion Trot at Addington on Show Day, Friday November 11, see no change among the top 11 horses. With the withdrawal of Habibi Inta though The Dominator (now 12th) and Smokin Bandar (now 15th) improve one place, and Aardiebythehill climbs two places to 13th following his more than two length win at Addington last Thursday.
