Interest in APG Sale from ‘across the ditch’

As excitement mounts with the first of the NEDS-APG sales only three months away and the catalogues release pre-Christmas, interest has been expressed by New Zealand owners and trainers in the incentives on offer.

NEDS-APG has been able to develop a series which is unique in harness racing sales in the Southern Hemisphere.

The 2022 sales will see prizemoney and bonuses worth $750,000 to each sex in the 2023 NEDS-APG race series.

The race series provides a real opportunity for those purchasing out of the 2022 sales an entry ticket to compete for the highest prizemoney available for two-year old pacers in the Southern Hemisphere.

The trotting fraternity has not been forgotten either!

The best international genetics available will be on show at the 2022 NES-APG sales. The numbers from total Sire crops in Australia are:

Always B Miki 30%

American Ideal 25%

Art Major 26%

Betting Line 29%

Bettors Delight 29%

Downbytheseaside 42%

Sweet Lou 40%

The North America two and three-year old results in 2021 demonstrate the dominance of the genetics of Always B Miki, American Ideal, Bettors Delight, Downbytheseaside and Sweet Lou.

Most yearlings at the sales will be paid-up for the Bathurst Gold Crown, Vicbred or NSW Breeders Challenge and Australian Breeders Crown, providing a potential prize pool (including bonuses) of in excess of $1m.

For New Zealand owners interested in considering purchasing out of the 2022 sales, NEDS-APG is available to discuss any concerns.

Prominent agents in Australia, Stuart and Marg Valentine, have indicated they are available to assist New Zealand purchasers in any part of the sales and transport arrangements.

NEDS-APG representatives are also available to discuss any aspects of the purchase and post purchase process.

NEDS-APG looks forward to a ground-breaking and record setting opportunity for prizemoney post the 2022 sales.
