Both Kirk Larsen and Lyndon Bond look to have good chances at the Wyndham harness racing meeting at the Young Quinn Raceway on Thursday (Oct 13).
First starter Easy Count (Imperial Count), the three year old filly that qualified at Wyndham in February, gets Larsenās day underway in Race One.Ā
āSheās trialled up well and has done everything right so far. Weāll know more after race day.ā Larsen said.
Larsenās remaining two runners are in Race Six.
Oneloveonelife (Somebeachsomewhere) owned by the large Own The Moment syndicate has had fourteen race day starts for two thirds. He last raced in April and has had three workouts to prepare him for Thursday.

āWe had a few issues when he was in last. We worked on them before we turned him out and weāre hoping the problems have been resolved. Heās trialled up well and the draw will suit him because heās a good forward rolling type.ā
Oneloveonelife draws Gate One and will be driven by Larsen.
The stableās second runner is Capitano (Captaintreacherous)
The three year old gelding has raced twice – unplaced each time, and has a wide draw to contend with.
āHeās just an average wee horse at this stage. He really needs to get in a lower grade maiden or get a really good draw to be competitive. He hasnāt got a good draw on Thursday. Heās genuine and I was happy enough with his first up run. Weāve put pull down blinds on him to sharpen him up.ā
Larsenās son Tristan takes the reins on Capitano.
Mataura trainer Lyndon Bond has six runners down to start on Thursday.
In Race One trotter Andover The Keys (Andover Hall) gets the day rolling. Sheās been placed three times in sixteen starts for three different trainers.
At her last start against higher graded horses she got hampered as the field turned in and battled away for eighth.
āSheās worked on well since missing against a better quality field. Iād be disappointed if she wasnāt in the top four. Phil Williamsonās Golden Kenny will be hard to beat. It sounds as though itās pretty smart,ā Bond said.
Major Dolmio (Art Major) is a recent addition to the Bond team. His form this time in has been solid and he ran a good fourth behind some nice types on this course at the end of last month. He starts in Race Six.
āHeās been going well. Sam (Ottley) used him last week and he still stuck on. I was happy with that run and he should pick one up shortly. He goes alright.ā
Ottley will drive him again.
Step It Up A Notch (Rock N Roll Heaven) draws Gate Five in a small but quality field in Race Eight.
The three year old has a very good strike rate, winning three of his nine starts and filling a place in two of his other runs.
āHeās not a bad animal. Even though heās up against it I still think heāll be in for the fight.ā
To be driven by Brent Barclay also in Race Eight, Livy Desma (Changeover) draws two on the second row but that should suit her as her style of racing is to come with a late run in the home straight.Ā
āSheās been going super. Iām really rapt with the wee girl. Sheās going to get an economical trip through from two on the second row in quite a hot field.ā
Beez Neez (American Ideal) is one of two Bond runners in Race Nine. Sam Ottley takes the drive.

āHeās hard to work out (Beez Neez). He hasnāt been firing at all. Weāre hoping for a better run and if not, heāll go out for a break to freshen him upā
Bondās second runner is seven year old Tiger Moth (Auckland Reactor). He resumed racing a fortnight ago after an injury which kept him away from racing for two years.
āHe may need another one yet because heās quite a gross doing old fella. Heās just getting back into the rhythm. Weāll get a couple of runs into him and see where we are at.āĀ
