HARRINGTON, DE – Mike Casalino Jr. and Dylan Davis’ New Zealand-bred Majorca N (Art Major) and driver Corey Callahan notched her first win of the harness racing season in a 1:53.3 triumph Tuesday (April 23) at Harrington Raceway in the $22,500 Mares Open Pace.
Parked first-over from the opening quarter mile until she got the lead past the three-quarters, Majorca N then held off a closing Grandeur Seelster to the wire to win by a half-length. Western Secret A was third. The 9-year-old mare has banked nearly $462,000 in her career for trainer and co-owner Davis. She paid $5.40 to win as the co-race favorite with Grandeur Seelster.
MAJORCA N REPLAY
Ross Wolfenden and Corey Callahan each had 3 wins on the card.
Montrell Teague and Cody Poliseno – who drove two winners for his father Carlo – each had a double on the card.
Live racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule.
