Improving trotting mare Bohemian Rhapsody (Muscle Hill) appreciated the drop in class when travelling south from racing better fields at Alexandra Park, to win at Cambridge tonight in the hands of harness racing junior driver Alicia Harrison.
Harrison wasted no time at the start with Bohemian Rhapsody and blasted straight to the front from the wide draw, after main rivals Mr Muscle and Flying Scotsman galloped in the score up and lost contact with the field.
“There was one I thought was going to come out of the gate that might not hand up to me that had a wee gallop behind the gate and that sort of changed my plans,” Harrison said after the race.
“She did a wee bit to get to the front but then she got an easy quarter and then got rolling down the back,” she said.
Bohemian Rhapsody ended up winning by a length from a fast closing Grey Stoke and Zachary Butcher, with Molly Belle and James Stormont battling on for third after sitting parked.
“We got a bit lonely out in front the last 50m and she wasn’t really sure and kept knocking off, but I think there was still plenty left.”
“I was probably as nervous as I have ever been driving a horse so I am glad I got the job done,” Harrison said.

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY REPLAY
Trained by Tony Herlihy, Bohemian Rhapsody is a half sister to good 5 win trotter Thank You (Love You) and 4 win trotter Quick Shot (Andover Hall) and on ability might end up being the best in the family if she continues on her winning way.
