Punters following the good form of Brian Norman’s stable will be offered some nice each way value at Young Quinn Raceway on Thursday.

Norman takes last start winner Pearlspur to the meeting alongside Whata Razzle Dazzle and My Hope.

Pearlspur looks ideally placed taking on a field largely made up of battlers in her first start out of maidens in race 4.

The trotter comes into the race after striding out stylishly to score in her last start at Forbury Park in early July.

Norman has kept the four-year-old’s fitness levels up since then by taking her to the workouts last weekend.

“I think she would be the best chance out of my three,” the trainer said.

“I have been pretty happy with her, I took her to the workouts last weekend and she went good.”

“She definitely hasn’t gone backwards since her win, anyway.”

“She is getting better and I would have thought in that field she would have to be a pretty good chance.”

Pearlspur (Pegasus Spur) ran fourth in her 2400m hit-out in horrible conditions at Young Quinn Raceway last weekend.

Race rival and favourite Jannah Jaccka finished ahead of her in second with Mr Olympus (6th) and Sage Trouble (7th) finishing behind her.

Norman lines Whata Razzle Dazzle up against a similar field to the one he ran third in at Ascot Park last week.

The pacer worked hard in the middle stages before being held up on the home turn and then going on to run third behind race rivals Ivana Legacy and Major Punter.

“I thought it was a good run, he got held up a bit before the turn which didn’t help,” Norman said.

“I thought he would go pretty good, he is a pretty athletically built horse and he keeps himself quite fit.”

Whata Razzle Dazzle is the only horse on the second line in race 8 on Thursday.

Norman thinks the draw could suit his pacer.

“He follows out Mucho Macho Man, the draw should work out OK for him.”

“I would say could go pretty good in that race.”

Norman lines up last start runner-up My Hope in race 2.

The trotter was parked early before slotting into the one-one and fighting on well at Ascot Park last week.

“She didn’t do that much work last week, she wasn’t left out there too long.”

“Her only problem is she isn’t very brave.”

“She will get one at some stage.”

Sarah O’Reilly takes the reins behind My Hope and Pearlspur and Nathan Williamson drives Whata Razzle Dazzle.
