Canterbury Classic winner South Coast Arden has been the big mover in the latest IRT New Zealand Cup rankings.
The northern star has gone up seven places to fifth overall, after his victory in the Group Two feature at Addington last Friday night gave him automatic entry to the Cup.
Such was South Coast Ardenās performance that heās now a clear second favourite with the TAB for the Cup on Tuesday, November 9, just behind defending champion Self Assured.
With the win South Coast Arden is guaranteed a place in the Cup field, as is second place-getter Pembrook Playboy, who has gone from ninth to sixth in the rankings.
Kango is also up, from 24th to 17th, and Cranbourne moves up six to 23rd following his win on Friday night.
Across the Tasman Willie Go West has improved six places to 28th after winning at Bendigo on Saturday night, and Triple Eight, who races in this weekendās Victoria Cup, is down from sixth to eighth. Copy That has also dropped two places to seventh.
A Gās White Socks and Copperhead Rose have both been withdrawn because of injury.
Thereās very little change at the top of the Dominion Trot rankings, with the in-form Chief Of Staff moving up one place to tenth on the back of his second to Sundees Son on Friday night.
