Brad Williamson and the Anderson/Love partnership have some strong chances at the Wyndham Harness Racing Club’s meeting on the grass at Cromwell on Saturday.
Kenny’s Mate (Father Patrick) kicks off Brad’s day in Race One. He qualified in May and has been to one workout since, at Winton. Saturday will be the three year old gelding’s first start.
In Race Two Williamson has another first starter in BK Windermere (He’s Watching). The well-bred five year old mare qualified last month and has been to one workout since.
Williamson has three runners in Race Four; Mixed Faith (Father Patrick), Night Watch (Imperial Count) and Tony Mac (Love You).
Mixed Faith ran a nice third at Omakau.
Night Watch was fourth in the same race.
The well-bred Tony Mac (Love You) returns to the track after nearly a year away from racing. The half-brother to Cracker Hill has been to just one workout in preparation for resumption.
Williamson lines up five year old pacing mare Aint No Angel (Raging Bull) in Race Eight. She was making ground late before running out of room at Omakau and should be suited by Saturday’s longer distance of 2600 metres.
Quality four year old Bluto (Sweet Lou) also lines up in Race Eight for the Anderson/Love combination. He’s had two workouts, winning his last one at Winton impressively against strong opposition.
In Race Eleven Brad lines up Krackaling (What The Hill) and Dominations Call (Trixton).
At his last start Krackaling was taken out of play early when he locked wheels. This will be his first start on the grass.
Dominations Call gives his stablemate twenty metres. His grass track form is excellent, having won three of his eight starts on the surface, including one at Cromwell.
Gotta Elect Bill (Auckland Reactor) runs for the Anderson/Love stable in Race Twelve. From just fourteen starts he’s won three races including one on the grass.
