Local breakfast radio personalities at More FM Southland Jo Cotton and Steve Broad experienced the excitement of up close and personal harness racing yesterday (Nov. 21) at Ascot Park, and they loved it!
With each of them in a dual seated sulky ā Steve with local trainer Jeremy Douglas, and Jo with driver Rory McIIwrick they got round that track in double quick time.
The Broad – Douglas combination driving Westar Lad (Changeover) had a slight advantage at the finish over Cotton and McIIwrick and Always B There (Always B Miki) but in typical radio style thatāll be debated long and hard.
The āraceā was broadcast live on air and was part of āGo For A Ride Day.ā
Both horses race at Ascot Park today and if they win Cotton and Broad will no doubt claim they helped to get them there.
