Prosperity’s prospects

Prosperity (Sweet Lou) who’s trained by Graeme Anderson and Mike Love, is likely to be the favourite when he races at the Wyndham Harness Racing Club meeting tomorrow but Anderson says it’s not a sure thing.

“He’ll probably be favourite, deserves to be and he can win but because he’s inexperienced he’s no good thing,” Anderson said.

Anderson bought the gelding at the Auckland Sales two years ago for $45,000. He’s out of the Mach Three mare Rose Ryal.

“He’s got a lot of ability, he just needs to find himself. He’s a wee bit ‘Mach Threeish’. He’s got a bit of fire in his belly.”

The three year old has drawn barrier one in his race tomorrow.

“I’d say from one, he would probably have to push up a little bit to see what’s going on. I’d say he’ll lead because he has got gate speed. You’re not going to be pulling back from number one are you. If he can get a soft lead I’d say it would be a reasonable kill for him but as you know it’s never that easy.”

The three year old ran second on debut on the grass as a two year old and was then given a spell. Anderson and Love has brought the gelding south for two workouts on the Wyndham course where he won a heat and finished third in the other.
