Top trotter Majestic Man (Majestic Son) gave harness racing driver Brad Williamson his 400th win in the sulky when he narrowly won the featured FFA Trot at Addington Raceway this evening (Jul. 1).
A happy Brad Williamson was thrilled to get the job done on one of his favourite horses.
“He probably has been my favourite horse,” he told Nigel Armstrong from Harness Racing Unhinged after the race.
“He has done a lot for me with going to Australia and he has been a good horse to me and the whole family,” he said.
Majestic Man was coming in fresh from a nine month break and proved too strong in the run home getting up the passing lane to beat the leader The Dominator by a head on the line.
“I think this is his first win in New Zealand for around 18 months so it is good to get some form back for him,” Williamson said.
MAJESTIC MAN REPLAY
Majestic Man ran the 1980m mobile in a mile rate of 1-59.8 with a last 800m in 58.1 seconds.
