Rockin Va Va (A Rocknroll Dance)trained by Michael House, continued on his winning way at the Gore harness racing meeting at Wyndham today (Sep. 29).
The four year old in his first season of racing in the south has been well placed in the rating system by his trainer. And because today’s win was a junior driver race it was penalty free.
“He’s a wee beauty and just keeps stepping up. He’s had a bit of luck come his way but when he gets it, he can capitalise on it. In his first win he did it the hard way, sitting parked. In his last two wins he’s sat in the one one and one out two back and got over the top of them,” stable representative Tyler Dewe said.
ROCKIN VA VA REPLAY
Prior to heading south the gelding had started at Manawatu and was disappointing on both nights.
“Michael said to me that he was very happy when he went to Manawatu, but he didn’t perform that well. He said the key to this horse is putting on the anti-chock device.”
The win today extends Sarah O’Reilly’s lead in the Junior Drivers Championship by fifteen over Mark Hurrell.
Rockin Va Va is from the same family as The Black Flash and Start Dreaming.
