After a busy few driving days Sam Ottley fronts up at the coastal South Bay Racecourse for the Kaikoura harness racing meeting tomorrow with a good book of drives.
Dawn To Dark (Sweet Lou) faces a small field of six two year olds in Race Two, over 1900 metres. He faded late on debut at Winton, has had one trial since.
Speedy mare Tokyo Rose (Captaintreacherous) lines up for the Jones/Ottley partnership in Race Four. This is her first standing start.
In Race Five Rush (Peak) starts off twenty metres in a good field of trotters. Her last start was at Ascot Park where she looked to be going to achieve a place, but she broke in the straight.
In the $50,000 Listed NZB Standardbred Yearling Sales Series Aged Classic, Ottley takes the drive on the Brent and Tim White trained Got You Covered (ArtĀ Major). At his last start in a strong field at Addington he got too far back and was unable to make ground. Monday looks to be an easier task.
Ottley takes the reins on Tact McLeod (Sweet Lou) in the $60,000 Group Two Alabar Kaikoura Cup. Heās been in stunning form this campaign and has won four of his five starts.
