Harness racing trainer Warren Stapleton has worked his magic on yet another trotter, after Notasbadasilook (Peak) overcame some leg issues and won her first race on Sunday at Addington Raceway.
Warren Stapleton is well known for his special leg paint that he has used on a several good square gaiters, including the likes of Highwood (Game Pride) (14wins), Cedar Fella (Son Of Afella) (17wins) and October Pride (Game Pride) (9wins).
In all Stapleton has won 248 races in a career spanning nearly fifty years, with his leg paint having stood the test of time, although Stapleton says Covid has hindered his ability to procure the ingredients quite a bit.
On Sunday Notasbadasilook did everything right in the hands of driver Kimberly Butt and went to the line a Ā¾ length winner, giving Stapleton a satisfying win.
“This one had a bad tendon problem and unfortunately when we got the tendon under control her attitude leaves a bit to be desired too,” Stapleton said after the race.
“She is an excellent horse but difficult, so it is very satisfying,” he said.
