Havtimewillfly (Art Major) and Havtimetodream (Downbytheseaside) provided southern breeder Murray Little with the quinella in the Kubala Seeds Fillies and Mares Mobile Pace at Ascot Park today.
Little bred Havtimewillfly in partnership with his nephew Malcolm Little and Malcolm’s wife Sarndra and he bred Havtimetodream on his own account.
In today’s race winning driver Brent Barclay took the Brett Gray trained Havtimewillfly to the front while Havtimetodream had to sit parked.
HAVTIMEWILLFLY REPLAY
At the end of the 1700 metres Havtimewillfly had a length and a quarter to spare over the runner up.

“She was pretty good last time in but got a bit crook when she went to Christchurch. I’ve got a high opinion of her, and I really like her. She’s got high speed,” Gray said.

If Havtimewillfly comes through today’s run well, Gray may take her to Ashburton for the last heat of the Dunstan Horsefeeds Sires’ Stake Series.
“She’s pretty smart. She even beat Miki’s Deal at the workouts one day.”
Murray wasn’t on course today. He was in Christchurch preparing for the HRNZ annual Conference which starts tomorrow.
