With Group One alumni featuring the likes of current harness racing stars Aardiebytheseaside (NZ), Chase A Dream (NZ), Cold Chisel (NZ), Cyclone Jordy, Don’t Stop Dreaming, Rakero Rebel and Rubira to name a hot few, buyers will be keen to get to the Karaka and Chirstchurch sales grounds to snap up siblings to racetrack stars that are on offer at the 2025 edition of the National Yearling Sale in Feburary 2025.

- Lot 9, a full sister to Group One Victorian Oaks and Caduceus Club Classic winner Coastal Babe (NZ) (Downbytheseaside) presented by breeders Woodlands Stud.
- A full sister to Champion pacer Copy That (NZ) (American Ideal) features early as Lot 15, also on account of Woodlands Stud.
- Offered on behalf of first-time consignors at this Sale in Yabby Dam Farms, Lot 34 is a half-brother to three-time Group One winner in Australia Cravache Dor (AUS) (Orlando Vici). The colt is by Muscles N Blue and will be prepared by Hollis & Robertson Equine Services.
- Lot 81 is a half-brother to incredible filly Millwood Nike (NZ) (Captaintreacherous). By Art Major, the colt is offered by co-breeders Alabar.
- Offered by Hollis & Robertson Equine Services, Lot 103 is an Always B Miki half-brother to recent Group One WA Golden Slipper winner Cyclone Jordy (NZ) (Art Major), out of Group One-winning mare Cyclone Kate (NZ) (Mach Three).
- Cover horse and multiple Group One-winner Merlin (NZ) (Art Major) has a half-brother catalogued as Lot 134. The Captaintreacherous colt is offered by Laura Smith on behalf of breeders Taffy Ltd.
- Lot 142 features an exciting combination, by champion racehorse and freshman sire King of Swing, out of Kate Black (NZ) (Bettor’s Delight), making this colt a half-brother to trans-Tasman Group One winner Got The Chocolates (NZ) (Art Major).
- Dancingonmoonlight will present a half-sister to recent Group One Queen of Hearts winner and rising star Duchess Megxit (NZ) (Sweet Lou) in Lot 147 by Captaintreacherous.
A half-sister to the recent G1 winner Duchess Megxit (NZ) will be on offer in Lot 147. - Twice Australian Trotting Mare of the Year Queen Elida (Love You) has a half-brother on offer in Lot 192. The What The Hill colt is on account of Barron Bloodstock.
- Barron Bloodstock also offer a full sister (Lot 301) to the exciting Marketplace (NZ) (Bettor’s Delight) who’s had a major pedigree update winning the Group One Sires Stakes Series Final, and Ace of Spades since the catalogue went to print.
- After another fantastic campaign, a full brother to Group One,and third place 2024 New Zealand Cup contender Republican Party (NZ) (Bettor’s Delight) will be offered under the Price Bloodstock banner in Lot 312.
The Auckland session takes place on Saturday 15 February at Karaka with selling from 1pm (NZT). The official parade at Karaka will now take place at the earlier time of 10am on Friday 14 February at the request of major vendors. Inspections at Christchurch take place on Sunday 16 & Monday 17 February at Canterbury Agricultural Park while selling begins on Tuesday 18 February from 11am (NZT).
All yearlings will be available for inspection during the on-farm parades, with all prospective buyers welcome to attend to get a head start on inspections and evaluations. NZB Standardbred and New Zealand-based agents and trainers will be available to inspect on behalf of prior to the Sale and on the grounds at the Karaka Sales Centre and Canterbury Agricultural Park.
All yearlings purchased at the 2025 National Yearling Sale are eligible for the lucrative $1 million Harness Million Sale Race Series for graduates, consisting of principal two-year-old and three-year-old races for colts and geldings, fillies and trotters individually, plus opportunities for four-year-old and older horses.
