Some pretty big statements were made tonight (Sep 9) at Addington when both Muscle Mountain (Muscle Hill) and Alta Wiseguy (Mach Three) cruised to victory in their respective Group Three harness racing features at Addington Raceway.

Leading trainers Steve and Amanda Telfer put rival trainers on notice, winning four races tonight including the (Gr3)Avon City Ford (New Brighton) Cup.

Alta Wiseguy led most of the way in the Avon City Ford (New Brighton) Cup, winning easily despite being attacked by Laver midrace. Stablemate B D Joe gave the stable the quinella in the race when he rushed home late from the rear for second.

Alta Wiseguy secured a spot in November’s New Zealand Cup with tonight’s win.

ALTA WISEGUY REPLAY

Earlier in the night, top trotter Muscle Mountain sealed his place in the Dominion Handicap with a dominant win in the (Gr3) Renwick Farms Ordeal Cup in the hands of driver Ben Hope.
