Petra Luzumova who hails from the Czech Republic and trains at Kurow, got a massive thrill out of Streaming Live’s (Muscle Mass) harness racing win at Wyndham today (Sep. 8).
She’s had the mare since the trotter was a two year old and todays’ win was Petra’s second.
“Alan Clark had her and he told me he didn’t get on with her, so I took her on,” she said.
At the end of her last campaign the four year old which was bred by Invercargill Master Jeweller Kevin Schuck, was stringing together a very good form line.

“We put her out for three months. She had an accident in the paddock a week before we got her back in, so I had to treat that. She was in the box for a month, but it settled her down because she’s always been quite busy.”
Luzumova says Steaming Live is nicely gaited, has good manners and is a dream to work with.
The Czech native comes from a riding background but that changed when she moved to Southland and initially worked for Robert Wilson at Balfour.
“I got the bug through my partner Billy Heads who’s been my mentor.”
Heads was a noted trainer of trotters and his winners included Night Allowance, Sundons Way and Whitney.
Petra has been working Streaming Live at the Oamaru track recently because the Kurow track has been flooded. She’s also doing some part time work for Oamaru trainer Brad Williamson.
