The best trotting genetics from across the harness racing globe will greet buyers at the 2024 National Yearling Sale in Auckland and Christchurch, with NZB Standardbred offering another quality catalogue filled with the progeny of square gaiting stars from both hemispheres.
16 trotting yearlings will be offered at the Karaka Sale Centre on Sunday 18 February, with a further 50 set to head through the ring at Canterbury Agricultural Park on Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 February.
Majestic Son (CAN)
In the last two racing seasons, Majestic Son has dominated New Zealandās biggest open class trotting events with the deeds of his outstanding sonsĀ Sundees SonĀ (NZ) andĀ Oscar BonavenaĀ (NZ).
Buyers will have the opportunity to select from seven Majestic Son yearlings at Christchurch this year.
- Lot 179, a colt from the daughter of the outstanding producer and Group One winnerĀ Kylee ReeĀ (NZ) (Monarchy).
- Lot 252Ā is a filly from the multiple stakes performerĀ Paramount QueenĀ (NZ) (Love You).
- Lot 386Ā is from a multiple stakes-winnerĀ Chevron Express (NZ) (Muscle Mass).
Father Patrick (USA)
Father Patrick comes into the National Yearling Sale following an utterly dominant season with his two-year-olds in New Zealand in 2023.
This year, Father Patrickās standout results have been headed by the unbeaten star and Harness Million winnerĀ Paramount KiwiĀ (NZ).
One Father Patrick yearling will be offered at Karaka with a strong offering of eight to go through the Christchurch sales ring.
- Lot 184Ā is a colt from the stakes-race performing mareĀ Hot PantsĀ (NZ) (Majestic Son).
- Lot 256, half-sister to the stakes race performerĀ Ronald JĀ (NZ) (Love You).
- Lot 336Ā is a filly from a half-sister to Interdominion Trotting Championship WinnerĀ Galleons Sunset (NZ) (Sundon).
What the Hill (CAN)
What The Hill is making a big impact on harness racing across the world already. His debut crop of two-year-olds impressed in North America, headlined by sonsĀ DreambigaimhighĀ (NZ),Ā Lovemeto,Ā and rising performers likeĀ Luby Lill,Ā Kiss N Run,Ā Bet N Win, and many more.
There are nine What the Hillās offered at Karaka and twelve offered at Christchurch.
- Lot 53Ā is a colt from the winning mare and Group One-producing mareĀ Luby AnnĀ (Andover Hall), making it a half-brotherĀ Tickle Me PinkĀ (Muscle Hill) andĀ Luby LouĀ (Muscle Hill).
- Lot 66Ā is a filly from Group One placegetterĀ Regal LoveĀ (Love You) who in turn is a half-sister toĀ TwentytenĀ (Muscles Yankee),Ā High GaitĀ (Muscles Yankee), andĀ High EnergyĀ (Father Patrick).

Creatine (USA)
Creatine has made an immediate impact during the short time he has been available to Australasian breeders.Ā Southern DiamondĀ (NZ),Ā Hot to TrotĀ (NZ), andĀ WalkinonsunshineĀ (NZ) are all fine examples of this.
Three Creatine yearlings will be offered at Karaka with a further four to go through the Christchurch sales ring.

- Lot 102Ā is a colt from the 17-race winning mare and successful damĀ YagunnakissmeornotĀ (NZ) (Love You).

Tactical Landing (USA)
With a very limited amount of progeny being offered from the hot trotting sire at this year’s sale, buyers will be all eyes on the two being presented at Karaka.
- Lot 49Ā is a filly from the Group One producing mareĀ Love Ya DoosieĀ (Love You). Dam ofĀ Kyvalley ChiefĀ (Muscle Hill),Ā Kyvalley HotspurĀ (Muscle Hill) and Group One Northern Derby, and 3YO Harness Million Trot winnerĀ LovemetoĀ (What the Hill).
