Exciting pacer The Lazarus Effect (Lazarus) is heading to Winton tomorrow and will be aiming to keep his unbeaten record intact.
After two impressive wins at Addington in the summer, the four year old was put aside and resumed his four year old campaign with a trial at Rangiora two weeks ago.
“He seems good. The trip away will do him good and it’s a penalty free with a junior driver onboard. That’s the main reason why I send him down. We don’t get those same opportunities up here in Christchurch. It’s blimmin good how they do it down there,” trainer Bob Butt said.

Tomorrow he’ll be handled by Carter Dalgety.
The Lazarus Effect will return home after the run for races at Addington.
“He’s taken everything in front of him so far. You never know how far he’ll go but you hope he’ll improve with racing.
Butt also has two quality trotters down to resume at Addington on Friday night.
Cyclone Zion W (Father Patrick) had his first start back at the races two weeks ago when he was run down by Edward Longshanks.
“I was rapt with that first up run. He just blew out that last bit. He hadn’t had any trials or workouts so he was fresh up to the races. That run has brought him on a heap, but is a very good field.”
The four year old starts from barrier two.
“It’s the perfect marble for him. If he can get a bit of luck, hopefully he can be there abouts at the finish.”
Six win trotter Gold Bullion (Father Patrick) is having his first start since early January. Butt has taken him to one trial where he raced against the pacers.

“He’s a blimmin nice horse. I was really happy with his trial the other day. They didn’t go time but he sprinted up well. He always goes good fresh and if he can get a cart into it he’ll be a definite place chance anyway.”
In tomorrow’s 2600 metre trot Gold Bullion is the lone starter off the 20 metre mark.
