Oamaru harness racing trainer Phil Williamson and Steve and Amanda Telfer have a good spread of horses across the South Island in the next few days.
Williamson lines up two young trotters at the Wyndham meeting on Thursday.
Six start maiden Kenny’s Charm (Muscle Mass) gets her chance to win in Race Two. She started in a stronger field at Addington last Friday, raced keenly and finished fourth.
Phil labelled Kenny’s Charm as his best bet.
In the same race Phil lines up first starter Yukon’d Me (Majestic Son). The two year old filly has had three trials and is set to debut.
The Telfers have two runners in the south with Aardie’s Express (Always B Miki) in the main pace of the day and Miki Bennett (Always B Miki) in the last.
At Addington at her last start, Aardie’s Express broke at the 300 when leading. She’s won eight of her eleven starts and starts on the outside of the front line in the six horse field.
Telfer says Aardie’s Express is the stable’s best bet for the Wyndham meeting.
Miki Bennett broke just after the start in his last start before leading then getting run down. He draws seven on Thursday.
