Star harness racing pacer Dreams Are Free (Captaintreacherous) returns to the racetrack tomorrow on a super Saturday of racing at Central Southland Raceway in Winton.
The three year old colt leads a powerful team of pacers from the Nathan Williamson Branxholme Barn.
Miraculous (Bettorās Delight) and Dreams Are Free get Williamsonās day underway in Race Three which is the last heat of the Alabar Southern Supremacy Stakes.
Miraculous returned to winning form at Wyndham more than two weeks ago and from barrier four in a five horse field will be handled by Brent Barclay.
Expected favourite Dreams Are Free was very good in the Garrards Siresā Stakes Heat in Auckland but had no luck in the Woodland Stud Northern Derby.
Both Miraculous and Dreams Are Free are having their final hit out before the $60,000 G2 Supremacy Final on Diamonds Days next Sunday.
In Race Five the Murray Gray Memorial, two race winner Always Dreaming (Bettorās Delight) rounds out his preparation for the G1 $110,000 Diamond Creek Farm Two Year Old Classic. He draws barrier six over 1609 metres. He last raced in the Kindergarten Stakes finishing third.
Williamson has two runners in Race Seven ā Jonjondagoosehasgone (Sweet Lou) and Franco Sailor (Bettorās Delight).
Jonjondagoosehasgone was very good on debut, sitting parked for a portion of his race before being run down late.
Franco Sailor was below par when he debuted at Winton, finishing ninth. Heās been freshened and back to two workouts and has won both.
Captains Mistress (Captaintreacherous) faces a tidy field in the G2 $70,000 Entain Two Year Old Fillies Mobile Pace. Sheās been freshened since running second to Music Mistress (Sweet Lou) at the beginning of March and wasnāt pushed when running third at the Winton Workouts last Friday.
Flying Ellie (Art Major) is a surprise entrant in the $25,000 Stearne Roofing Winton Cup. She was down to run in the last heat of the Southern Oaks, but that race was scrapped. She ran second to All You Need Is Me (Captaintreacherous) in the G1 Northern Oaks at her last start. Tomorrow will be her first race from a stand. The race will help her fitness with the G2 $60,000 Macca Lodge/Nevele R Southern Oaks just a week away.
