The 2019 Horse of the Year and Inter Dominion champion Tiger Tara (Bettor’s Delight), who is standing this season at the Medowie Lodge stud, near Newcastle, of Darren Reay, continues to turn out the juvenile winners.
Billys Tiger Khan, a two-year-old colt, became his third individual juvenile winner this season when he sat parked throughout before winning at only his second start at Launceston recently.
The Bettorās Delight double millionaire has also sired three three-year-old winners this season and from 63 foals of racing age he has 21 starters and 11 winners. They include the Bankstown Derby winner and dual Group 1 finalist King Tiger (1:52.2), the Menangle winners Tiger Prince (1:55.7) and Tiger Tee and the promising youngsters Tigers Spirit and Tigers Invasion (1:56.5).
Standing alongside Tiger Tara at Medowie Lodge will be the NZ and Australian 2YO Colt of the Year Follow The Stars and the American-bred multiple Cups-winning trotter My High Expectations.
Follow The Stars is again among the top bracket of colonial bred sires in the country, being represented by 31 individual winners and progeny earnings of $487,177 this season.
All told, the Art Major horse has left 141 winners from 192 starters and they have amassed $5.5million in stakemoney including the Group winning juveniles Black Jack Baby and Bushwacked, Aristocratic Star (WA Country Derby) and the Cup winners Troopingofthecolor and Zyanya.
My High Expectations, a seven-Group winner, has made a very impressive start to his stud career. From only 25 foals three-years-old and older he has left 11 starters and six winners including Dextrous Dexter (QBred 3YO Trot Classic) and Gait With Grace (QLD 2YO Springboard Series).
