Woodlands Beach trainer Regan Todd leaves the beach behind this weekend when he takes a team to harness racing HQ on Friday. And he’ll clock up some more ks when he heads south to Hannon Memorial Day at Oamaru on Sunday.
The well-bred Share A Dream (Art Major) has had two starts and his form is improving. In a fairly even field in Race Two he draws five for the 1980 metre mobile. Todd labelled him as the stables best bet for Addington.
Herb (Downbytheseaside) will need to make the most of his barrier one draw in Race Four when he fronts a field of quality three year old pacers.
In Race Six Fernleigh Blackbird (He’s Watching) will need to lift. She’s the lowest rated horse in the main mares race of the night and her form has been a bit in and out.
Mo’unga (Bettor’s Delight) has been a revelation recently, stringing two wins together. He starts off the twenty metre mark in Race Seven and has a good distance and standing start record.
In the last race on the Addington card Todd lines up last start winner Lucifer (Bettor’s Delight). He draws handy at three in what looks to be an even field.
On Sunday at Oamaru Todd has three runners.
Sweet Spirit (Sweet Lou) is in the first race. She’s had four standing starts and the wide draw shouldn’t be an issue.
In heat four of the Nevele R Three Year Old Fillies Series (R6) quality filly Treacherous Gall (Captaintreacherous) resumes. The winner of six of her twelve starts including the Southern Oaks, she’s had two quiet workouts in readiness for her resumption.
Mightyflyin Supastar (Bettor’s Delight) has been domiciled at Craig Ferguson’s Wyndham barn recently and looked sharp when storming home to beat race rival Rise Up N Dance (Art Major) at his last start.
