Top Aussies nominated for Dominion Trot and NZ Trotting Cup

Group 1-winning Australians Just Believe (Orlando Vici) and Better Eclipse (Betterthancheddar) are among the latest nominations for the $400,000 Renwick Farms Dominion Trot and the $1m IRT New Zealand Trotting Cup at Addington Raceway on Tuesday, November 12.

Trained by Jess Tubbs and driven by husband Greg Sugars, the pair reigned supreme at Alexandra Park in May, taking out the Rowe Cup – Auckland Cup harness racing double.

Superstar mare Millwood Nike, unbeaten in all 17 starts, has also been nominated for the New Zealand Cup though her connections have indicated they are targeting the Free For All on Show Day, Friday November 15. Millwood Nike has not raced since last December after having a tendon injury.

So far 32 pacers and 34 trotters have been nominated, with the nominations closing this Thursday.
