The French stallion Used To Me, who stood last season in Victoria’s Goulburn Valley region, is one of the quiet achievers among the ranks of harness racing trotting sires in Australia.

Used To Me

A Group winner in Europe and Victoria, Used To Me has left 65 foals of racing age, of which 40 have raced and 23 have been successful including recent Menangle winner Gardena Ronda and the Geelong winner Abitofadreamer.

Used To Me will be dually represented at the Nutrien Equine Melbourne Yearling Sale on April 2 and 3. He has a colt out of the American-bred mare Access To Success as Lot 495 and a filly from another USA mare, Continentallady (Lot 557).

Inter Dominion winning sire Orlando Vici was credited with a ‘new’ winner in the three-year-old Shaq The Anvil, who took out a heat of the Vicbred Homegrown Classic at Bendigo.

The multiple European Group winner The Best Madrik (by Coktail Jet) was represented by the Wyndham, New Zealand victor Madrik, while Love You, Coktail Jet’s greatest son, left the Yarra Valley winner Robbinmemates.

MADRIK REPLAY

The Best Madrik has a single entry in the Melbourne Yearling Sale in Lot 542, a half-brother to the cup class trotter Brandlo Prince.

Love You will have three representative at the auction in Lot 540, a colt from the Vicbred champion Betty Hall, Lot 645, a colt out of the dual Group 1 placegetter Meadow Valley Road and Lot 562, a filly from the Lightfoot Laurels and Chris Howe Cup winner Cyclone Jeter NZ.

Other Haras Des Trotteurs’ stallions at the sale are Volstead (10 colts and 17 fillies), Quaker Jet (7 lots) and Timoko and Village Mystic on each.
