Brulee (Vincent) produced a tough harness racing effort to win the Group 3 Diamond Classic at Gloucester Park last night and in doing so became not only the latest stakes winner for Vincent but also the latest to come from one of the Alabar weanling drafts.Ā
Sustaining a three wide run from the 900 metre mark, Brulee proved too strong for her rivals to win the $50,000 event.Ā
BRULEE REPLAY
The win was a triumph for the Howlett family who secured Brulee for just $11,000 from the Alabar draft at the 2020 NZB National Weanling Sale.
Brulee is the last foal from the fine producing Pacific Rocket mare Russian Rocket. From 12 foals she produced 8 winners including Dynamite Denn Nee $292,527 and Machamillion $183,294.Ā
Vincent is now the sire of six stakes winners from his debut crop which are now three year olds. His strike rate from that crop is an impressive 8.6% stakes winners to starters.
We will offer three Vincent weanlings amongst our 49 weanlings at the upcoming NZB National Weanling Sale on the 25th of May.
Also included in the draft are two weanlings from the same family as Brulee, both by Captain Crunch – Lot 61 and Lot 98.Ā
