With star racehorsesĀ Copy ThatĀ (NZ) (American Ideal),Ā Majestuoso (NZ) (Majestic Son),Ā Aardiebytheseaside (Downbytheseaside), Betterzippit (Betterthancheddar) Spanish Armada (Bettorās Delight) and PartyonĀ (Bettorās Delight) also sold as weanlings in New Zealand, the Sale offers a great opportunity for buyers.
Prominent Northern breeders Alabar will again offer an outstanding draft at the 2023 National Weanling Sale.
- Lot 82, the Captain Crunch half-brother to open class star Alta Wiseguy (Mach Three). Alta Wiseguy recently completed an outstanding season in which he bagged four black type races in open class.
- Similarly,Ā Lot 49 a colt by Captain Crunch is half-brother to another open class performer inĀ Alta Orlando (Courage Under Fire), the winner of $350,000 with a lifetime mark of 1.49.8.
- Lot 20Ā colt by Always B Miki who is a full brother to Group One placegetterĀ Miki Montana and is closely related to New Zealand Cup champion ThefixerĀ (Bettorās Delight).
- Lot 70Ā is by sire Majestic Son and is closely related to two-time NZB Standardbred Harness Million winnerĀ HighgroveĀ (Love You).
- LotĀ 9Ā is a Majestic Son filly from Aspiring Monarch, a full sister to Group One winner Royal AspirationsĀ who has gone on to be an outstanding trotting sire.
- Lot 22Ā by Lazarus a filly from the Fake Left mareĀ Cyathea. Cyathea has left the multiple stakes race winning pacerĀ CyamachĀ (Mach Three), as well as Group One performer Star Of MontanaĀ (Art Major).
Leading breeding nursery Woodlands Stud will also offer a sizeable draft filled with quality stock.

All weanlings purchased at the 2023 National Weanling Sale at Karaka are eligible to be entered for NZB Standardbredās lucrative Harness Million Sales Race Series.
