Oamaru harness racing trainer Phil Williamson has two good chances in tomorrow’s (Oct. 6) Dancinginthedark M in NZ Southern Trotting Oaks at Ascot Park.
Aroha Kenny (Love You) draws four in the 2200 metre mobile feature for three year old trotting fillies and has been freshened since running third at Addington a month ago.
Impressive last start winner Isolate (Father Patrick) gets her chance to continue on her winning way and will be handled by Nathan Williamson.
Phil has a handful of runners across the rest of the Northern Southland Trotting Club meeting with two year old trotting filly Torquay Street (Father Patrick) shaping up as a good chance in Race One.
In the main handicap trot of the afternoon Williamson has two runners; Dwindle Star (Muscle Mass) who will be handled by Ben Hope and Our Pinocchio (Bacardi Lindy) with Nathan Delany taking the reins.
Williamson says he expects Dwindle Star to race better on Friday than she did at Gore.
Our Pinocchio has been racing against stronger company and will appreciate the drop back in class.
Phil rates Torquay Street as his best chance at Ascot Park.
