After a below par performance in Saturday night’s Group One Grand Prix at Melton, Oamaru harness racing trainer Phil Williamson has pulled the pin of Majestic Man’s (Majestic Son) Australian campaign and the horse flies back to New Zealand next Wednesday.
After sitting parked, Majestic Man dropped out and finished fifty three metres from the winner Just Believe (Orlando Vici).
“He was checked by a vet after the race. They scoped his lungs and he had a small bleed there so for that there’s a twenty eight day stand down,” Williamson said.
In his six race campaign in Australia Majestic Man earned $46,100 with his only win coming in the Group Three VL Dullard Trotters Cup. He ran second in a Great Southern Star Heat and second in a handicap trot at Melton.
