In 2022, Woodlands Stud NZ celebrates 30 years of breeding in the Standardbred Industry. The journey has been a long and steadfast commitment to the harness racing industry, built on relationships that have stood the test of time over those three decades both locally and internationally.

Now Woodlands Stud is also making a mark in the sales ring, selling quality horses from some of Australasia’s best families. This Thursday (May 26th) we head to Karaka with 67 quality weanlings for the 2022 NZB Standardbred Weanling Sale.

This now time-honoured sale attracts buyers both in New Zealand and Internationally with a Woodlands weanling high on most buyers’ radar. This year we offer up the opportunity to source a weanling by the World’s greatest sires. 

Weanlings by American Ideal, Bettor’s Delight, Downbytheseaside, Sweet Lou and What The Hill are under offer, with some stunning maternal families available to purchasers.

Many great horses have been purchased as Woodlands weanlings including Partyon, Spanish Armada, Linda Lovegrace, My Hard Copy and the 2021 New Zealand Trotting Cup winner Copy That.

We also offer up progeny by Freshman sires Lather Up and Speeding Spur who were both top racehorses of their time. Woodlands Stud believes their class of 2022, is quite possible the best draft of weanlings we have offered in recent times.
