One of the best bred and performed sires to be imported to Australia in recent years, Rock N Roll World, has passed away.
The Rocknroll Hanover horse suffered a colic attack overnight while standing at Cobbitty Equine Farm.
“It is with great sadness that we announce our resident sire Rock N Roll World has passed away,” Cobbitty Equine Farm took to Twitter.
“He joined us last year standing only his third season at stud.
“It is a great loss for our breeding industry.
“World” will be dearly missed at CEF.”
Rock N Roll World arrived at Belinda and Luke McCarthy’s breeding establishment last June.
Prior to that he served 109 mares in Western Australia in his debut stud season and 100 mares in Victoria the year after that.
