HARRINGTON, DE – Harrington Raceway’s richest program of the harness racing season was contested Thursday (July 25) at the Delaware State Fair with more than $650,000 in total purses.

All of the races on the 13-race program were for Delaware owned and/or bred horses.

The Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund $110,000 final events for 3-year-olds comprised much of the purse allocation, in addition to long-time events for older horses including the $50,000 Governor’s Cup.

Driver Tim Tetrick had 4 wins on the card, including two for trainer Jim King Jr. in DSBF finals with filly pacer Curtsyforpurrseco (Roddy’s Bags Again, $3.40) in 1:56.1, owned by Jo Ann Looney-King and male trotter Brett MacDonald’s Workslikeacharm (E L Platinum, $7.60) in 1:59.3.

CURTSYFORPURRSECO REPLAY

Curtsyforpurrseco overcame post 8 in her 11th career win, while Workslikeacharm was second placed first after Royal Beep Beep was disqualified after failing to lose ground while on a break and leaving the course.
